The IBTC promotes sustainably produced torrefied or carbonized biomass on a global scale to efficiently replace fossil coal in all industries and applications or to permanently sequester atmospheric carbon into the soil. In addition, we believe that the efficient sequestration of atmospheric carbon permanently into the soil will play a major role in accelerating the global transition to a carbon-neutral economy, minimising CO₂ in the atmosphere.
